Rangelands pasture productivity field data survey

Do you work with pastures or grassland ecosystems? Help establish a national network for rangeland pasture productivity monitoring and modelling by completing this short survey from our friends at CSIRO.

The CSIRO invites you to take part in a survey to collect information about the collection of field data on pasture productivity in Australia’s rangelands. The information collected will be used by CSIRO to inform the establishment of a national field data network for rangelands pasture productivity monitoring and modelling.

The CSIRO is seeking input from research institutions, all levels of government, NRM bodies and NGOs/conservation groups across Australia on their willingness to establish a network of pasture productivity field data collectors and share their research data archive through TERN. This information will help CSIRO better understand what it is needed to improve rangelands pasture productivity monitoring and modelling in Australia.

What will I be asked to do?

Completing the survey should take less than 10 minutes. There are eight questions concerning the information CSIRO would like to obtain on pasture productivity data sets. Your participation is completely voluntary and you are free to withdraw by stopping at any time. If you decide to withdraw from the survey, any responses you have provided up to that point will be deleted.  You may also skip any question you don’t want to answer.

How will the results of the study be used?

All information collected through the survey will be used by CSIRO for research purposes only. Respondents can remain anonymous if they wish to. Data will be reported in an aggregate form to ensure participants are not individually identifiable. The data may also be kept and used by CSIRO in a de-identified form for future research on this topic.

Results from this study will be published in a public report by April 2019.  A summary of the findings will also be made available to participants on completion of the study. Please email Luciana.Porfirio@csiro.au  if you would like to receive a copy of this summary report.
